We're the recommended building control experts for Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands.
Building Regulations set minimum standards for the design and construction of new buildings, extensions, conversions and alterations. They cover areas including health, safety, accessibility, energy efficiency and structural performance.
Your proposed work may require Building Regulations approval, as well as any separate planning permission that may be needed.
DBCP is an independent regulatory body. Our role is to assess plans, inspect building work at key stages and determine whether the information and evidence provided demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations.
We cannot design your project, recommend construction solutions or act as your adviser. Responsibility for ensuring the work complies remains with you and the professionals and contractors you appoint.
Contact our team to understand the building control process, the type of application required and when inspections should be requested.
