Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP) has celebrated a successful first year by being shortlisted in the New Business of the Year category in the Derbyshire Times Business Awards 2018.
Now in their tenth year, the business awards celebrate local businesses and organisations, recognising those that represent the best in local business and commerce.
The winner will be announced at black tie event which is being held at Chesterfield College on Thursday 15 November, hosted by celebrity business entrepreneur Jessica Cunningham who appeared in series 12 of The Apprentice on BBC 1.
DBCP is the only company in the sector to have been recognised in the shortlisting for this year’s awards. It is shortlisted alongside Edwards Employment Solutions Ltd, Jane–Louise Photography UK Revilo Images and White Peak Distillery in the category which is sponsored by Mitchells Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.
Neil Johnson, Managing Director of DBCP commented: “We’re thrilled to have been shortlisted amongst so many successful new and established businesses in Derbyshire.
“We’ve come a long way in the last 12 months. We’ve launched a brand new website with an online booking and payment facility as well as expanded the team with key appointments.”
Established in 2017, following an amalgamation of the building control services of six local authorities – Derby City Council, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire Dales District Council, North East Derbyshire District Council, Bolsover District Council and Amber Valley Borough Council, DBCP brings together a wealth of knowledge and experience in building control.
