2018 has been a formative year for DBCP. It was our first full year in business and we were delighted to mark this by being nominated for the New Business of the Year title at the 2018 Derbyshire Times Business Awards.
We have gone from strength-to-strength during this time, welcoming new members to the team and launching our new, enhanced website to ensure our services are even more accessible. We also finished off the year by achieving the industry-recognised ISO:9001 accreditation.
In August we were delighted to welcome David Pratt to the team as Building control Manager. He brings 30 years’ experience to the role at DBCP, having previously held building inspector roles at Chesterfield Borough Council and Mansfield District Council.
We further strengthened the team later in the year with the addition of Chris Pratt, a trainee Building Surveyor who is working towards his Level 4 HNC in Construction and the Built Environment.
Throughout 2018, the team got out and about and tried to meet as many of you as possible – on site, at branches of Travis Perkins and at our launch events in January. And we hope to see more of you in 2019.
DBCP goes into 2019 in excellent shape with a strong team that will continue to deliver the best and most effective and efficient service to meet all your building control requirements.
Our offices are closed over the festive period, from 4.30pm on Monday 24 December until Wednesday 2 January at 8.00am. However you can submit a Building Regulation application, make online payments and report a dangerous structure via the website at www.dbcp.co.uk
The DBCP team wishes you all a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
