Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP) has been appointed to manage building control for key office projects in Chesterfield, including One Waterside Place at the town’s £340 million Chesterfield Waterside scheme.
As well as the seven-storey Grade A office block at Chesterfield Waterside, DBCP will also be managing building control for the Enterprise Centre at Northern Gateway and The Glass Yard on Sheffield Road.
No.1 Waterside Place, the Enterprise Centre and The Glass Yard aim to capitalise on the projected growth in demand for regional office space following the pandemic.
The Enterprise Centre, which began construction in April 2020 by contractor by Robert Woodhead Ltd, will include 32 high quality offices and is expected to open in Spring 2021, with the 35,000 sq ft One Waterside Place office development opening in September 2021.
Britcon (UK) Ltd, a leading Civil Engineering, building and steel frame solutions company, has been appointed as the main contractor of One Waterside Place and began construction of the office building in October 2020.
Further office space will be provided at The Glass Yard alongside retail units and an artisan food hall, called The Batch House. Construction on the 50,000 sq. ft sustainably constructed development also got underway in October 2020.
DBCP’s expert team of surveyors are now working alongside construction and architect teams at all three sites, undertaking regular inspections and ensuring all projects meet building regulations during the construction phase.
