Established eight years ago by merging the experienced, professional Building Control teams of eight local councils across Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands, we have created a forward-thinking, innovative business.
We are the largest provider of building control services in Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands, a position we are able to maintain and enhance by supporting every member of our team to contribute positively to our ongoing success.
The security of a successful, growing business, combined with the challenge of continuing our expansion and development are just two of the many attractions of working for DBCP.
We currently have the following vacancy:
Building Control Surveyor
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: Attractive
As a Building Control Surveyor responsible for checking and inspecting within your own area, you will be encouraged to participate in the same way. You will have plenty of variety because there will be a broad range of building control projects which you will manage and progress to successful completion. In addition, you will help to grow our business by establishing and strengthening working relationships with architects, developers as well as other existing or potential clients.
We are looking for someone who has proven experience in a similar role and, ideally, will be able to apply a good working knowledge of the Building Regulations to a variety of developments.
You will also be preparing for the mandatory registration with the Building Safety Regulator in line with the requirements of the Building Inspector competency framework, being a member or working towards membership of an appropriate body including RICS, CABE or CIOB.
You will also need to show that customer service matters to you, as well as display the ability to work to the highest standards with the minimum of supervision.
You will benefit by becoming a member of one of the most experienced, knowledgeable building control teams in this country where professional and personal development is actively promoted and fostered. In addition, we have developed a flexible salary and benefits structure which means that we can offer varied packages which will appeal if you are working for a private practice or a local authority.
